We provide fresh produce, meats, dairy, and other healthful foods at no cost to food-insecure populations in Catskill and across Greene County.
Our Food Sources
Our primary supplier is the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York in Albany, NY. We also receive contributions from local gleaning and food rescue organizations, as well as seasonal support from several family farms throughout Greene and Columbia Counties.
Our Partners
We are a member of the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, through which we receive a variety of foods including fresh vegetables, eggs, milk and meats to distribute to communities who are in need.
The FeedHV Community Food Network is a regional food rescue and harvesting network dedicated to meeting the needs of neighbors while mitigating the impacts of food waste. Through the efforts of a network of volunteers who transport, harvest and process donated food, FeedHV rescues viable food products and redirects them to non-profit agencies with food assistance programs (such as food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters) throughout the Hudson Valley.
The Parish Hall of St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Catskill, NY, is our home base. Their generosity of spirit has allowed us the space and stability to create a welcoming environment for our pantry clients, while maintaining our identity as an unaffiliated not-for-profit organization.
Who We Serve
We directly serve the Village and the Town of Catskill; however, we provide food to anyone from any town or county. Please note that no one will ever be denied food for any reason. We are not here to judge, only to serve.
The Catskill Food Pantry is open every Friday, and clients are welcome to shop every week if they wish – however, we ask that they take only what they need for the week, so that others can enjoy the same pantry stock and benefit from the same opportunity.
We're also the only "client-choice" food pantry in the area, where shoppers walk through the space like a supermarket and select food items based on their own needs and preferences.
If you're unable to get to our location in Catskill, or if you find yourself in an emergency situation, you can call the pantry and we'll do our best to deliver a box of healthy foods for you and your family. Currently, our volunteers are only able to make deliveries on Friday afternoons, during pantry hours. Call or text us at (551) 299-2456 to find out how we can assist you.
